Anshu Karki, Founder/Managing Attorney

Anshu started her firm to provide clients the best legal representation while providing personalized, client-centered service – something she found lacking in the legal industry. An immigrant herself, she is focused on getting results for her clients and making sure she is at your side every step of the way as your immigration lawyer. She uses her experience and legal knowledge to be a fierce advocate for her clients.  Along with successfully managing her firm, Anshu has devoted time to pro bono service through the Immigration Justice Campaign, Catholic Charities and Holy Cross Hospital.  

She Chairs the Immigration Law Section of the Maryland State Bar Association (MSBA) for 2023-24 giving back to fellow immigration lawyers in Maryland. She is also an active member of American Immigration Lawyers’ Association (AILA)- the official organization of immigration lawyers in America. Her dedication to clients has earned her the title of Super Lawyers, Rising Star in MD and DC- an honor she was selected for by her peers, and given only to 2.5% of attorneys in any state. 

Anshu, a former international student from Nepal, has put down her roots in Maryland and lives in Montgomery County with her family. She attended school at La Martiniere Girls’ College, in Lucknow, India before finishing her education in the US. Having spent major portions of her life in different countries, she truly  understands what starting over in a new environment feels like.
